Congratulations to our talented HE Bonner drama club students for their outstanding achievements at the South Carolina Theatre for Youth Festival in Columbia, SC. The students earned an impressive 4 Superior ratings, 5 Excellent ratings, and 2 Good ratings. A special shoutout to two of our 4th graders, who both received perfect scores on their Superior-ranked performances! In addition to their performances, students were immersed in workshops led by South Carolina theatre professionals on Bunraku puppetry, Mindfulness for the Actor, Shakespeare, and Stage Makeup. It was an inspiring weekend of learning, creativity, and amazing performances. Well done, Bonner Drama!

Congratulations to our Staffulty of the Month, Mrs. Erin Carlo. Mrs. Carlo is the unsung hero who works tirelessly behind the scenes to support both our students and staff. With an incredible depth of knowledge and a compassionate listening ear, she plays an essential role in making Bonner go ‘round. Her dedication to the special education team, along with her unwavering support of the entire school, highlights the impact of her hard work. Even though her contributions may go unnoticed, her relentless commitment and quiet strength add the backbone of our school. So blessed to have Erin in our Bonner family! She is truly the best there is!!



We had a great time at our 3rd-5th grade Fact Fluency Event last Friday. We sure enjoyed sharing tips for practicing fluency, as well as seeing families engage with their student and create goals for practicing at home. If you were unable to make it, no worries. We've added the resources to our Parent Resource Center. Stop by the front office and Ms. Silver or Ms. Chinners will be happy to share some of the information.

March is Music in our Schools Month! We want to highlight what your students have been doing in the music classroom!
Our students have been learning about jazz music in the music classroom! They have studied the history of jazz, specific characteristics about the genre, and different famous artist. 3rd and 4th grades have been working on some amazing art and music integration projects in the classroom! Students drew images of Miles Davis a famous jazz trumpeter and created collages influenced by Henri Matisse, who listened to jazz music while creating his art. #musicinourschools





Join us our next planning meeting on Monday, March 17th @ 2:20 p.m. The planning team will be discussing our current arts strategic plan, taking at look at parent survey data, and continuing our plans and initiatives for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.


Last week, some of our incredible 5th-grade Renaissance students took the initiative to read to several classrooms in celebration of Read Across America Week! 🎉 We want to give a huge round of applause to these brave students for their hard work and preparation. Their enthusiasm and courage in stepping into the classrooms made a significant impact on our younger readers!
