This past Friday Mrs. Galati’s Career Explorers Club teamed up with Hanahan Middle Schools Leaders For Life Club and went to Carowinds to take part in Youth Leadership Day! Students from both clubs worked together on their leadership skills by taking part in fun activities, meeting new people, and learning what it takes to be a leader and change the world for the better. After all their hard work was complete, they enjoyed a fun day in the park. It was an amazing day!!

Last week, Mrs. Galati held her last lunch and learn of the school year, with none other than News 2 Chief Meteorologist, Rob Fowler. Mr. Fowler talked to students all about the weather and what it’s like to be on TV. Mr. Fowler showed students different instruments that are used to study and measure the weather such as weather balloons, rain gauges and anemometers. Students even took part in a competition to see who could create the highest wind speed by blowing into the anemometer device. Mr. Fowler was the perfect person to help close out our lunch and learn program for this school year!
