🌨️ Attention Families! On January 22nd, we will have an eLearning day in anticipation of our incoming winter weather. Please stay safe and warm! Students will participate in eLearning, and all assignments will be available on Schoology. Our dedicated teachers will be available virtually throughout the school day to support you! Remember, assignments are due three school days after we return!
In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Wednesday, January 22. All schools and offices will be closed Wednesday.

Our teacher of the month, Ms. Harrelson, teaches 6th grade science. Stepping into her classroom, you instantly feel the love, engagement, and passions for teaching and learning science. Ms. Harrelson is new to WVM this school year and we are lucky to have her!
Our students of the month were nominated by their teachers. They were chosen to represent their team and we could not be more proud of their Warrior spirit. Their names are: Gabriel Arlindo, Everly Owens, Layla Austin, Rafaela Ruiz Diogo, Tripp Brooks, Ana Pereira De Souza, and Isabella Torres-Perez.
Westview Middle School students will be able to participate in Job Shadow Day on Friday, February 7, 2025!
This day allows students to explore and receive an authentic professional experience in their career field of interest. Students can now begin looking for a job shadow location and obtain a Job Shadow Day Permission Form from their Homeroom Teacher.
To participate, a Job Shadow Day Permission Form is REQUIRED and MUST BE turned in to the student's homeroom teacher. The Deadline for the Permission Form "Turn-In" is Friday, January 31, 2025, at noon. Students are not permitted to shadow any employees of Berkeley County School District. Those not participating in Job Shadow Day are expected to attend school as usual.

All students enrolled in ESOL classes at Westview Middle will take the ACCESS for ELLs Testing in their ESOL classes starting next week. The window is from January 21st - March 7th and there are 4 different domains to the test. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Vinchiarello Dayton.

Zenergy Gamers, on Red Bank Road heard about the club and donated Magic: The Gathering decks, card boxes and accessories for our students to use . We are thankful for their support and for Mr. Jennings starting up this awesome after school club!

This test is very important to measure your student's growth so far this school year.
